McCracken Country Inn offers the comfort and privacy of a luxury hotel with the ambience of an old Country Inn. We are located in the east end of Hinton on the Yellowhead Highway. Hinton is nestled in the eastern slopes of the Rocky Mountains beside the Athabasca River. It sits on the Edmonton - Jasper corridor of Highway 16.

The McCracken Country Inn features nine rooms. Each room is uniquely decorated in a different country theme, antiques, assorted decor and colors. All of the rooms have their own fireplace, full bathrooms and cable TV. Two of the suites are spacious, executive-style with jetted tubs. One room is located on the main floor with outside access and is wheelchair accessible.

A full breakfast, which is served in the tea house, is included in the room rate. The Tea House is a licensed 38 seat restaurant. It features a wrap-around deck, home-style meals, home-made baking and a great assortment of teas and specialty coffees. Our parlour area has a corner fireplace and a large variety of books, puzzles and games for your enjoyment.

Hinton and the area are fast becoming known as a recreation destination. There are plenty of trails for hiking, biking and cross-country skiing. There are walking trails located at the Inn. You'll find lots of shopping in town as well as an 18 hole golf course.

We offer several package deals too, including fishing trips, ATV tours, wilderness excursions, and romantic packages.

Haddon Hall offers the best view of any inn in Atlantic Canada, bar non. Perched atop an open hill with panoramic views of island-studded Mahone Bay, this very distinctive inn dates back to 1905.

Gracious and comfortable, Haddon Hall's guest rooms are distinctly different in ambiance: from Victorian to rustic. All guest rooms are non smoking and include private ensuite bath, telephone, A/C, cable TV/VCR, CD player, bar fridge, hair dryer, plush terry robes, down duvets, high quality toiletries, and king or queen size beds.

Evening dinner service is offered in Haddon Hall's elegant dining room from June 21, 2002 until early October. During July and August enjoy dinner on our outside deck
