Tide Rip Grizzly Tours

Tide Rip Grizzly Tours offers day trips to majestic Knight Inlet to watch grizzly bears in their natural habitat.

We depart early each day May 15 to Oct 15 from Telegraph Cove, the whale watching centre on northern Vancouver Island.

As we run 2 hours up into the mainland fjords we often see black bears on the low tide beaches, harbour seals and porpoises, bald eagles, Dall's porpoises, sometimes dolphins and river otters.

Once in the grizzly bear hot spot we drift, paddle or motor quietly around depending on where the bears come out. At low tide the grizzly bears roll rocks to eat crabs and isopods. At mid tide they eat sedge grasses and at high tide they snack on berries along the driftwood line.

We provide lunch. Our comfortable water taxi has a washroom and viewing from the roof.
