Golden White Water Rafting

The Kicking Horse River is a glacier fed river running west from Yoho National Park through the Canadian Rocky Mountains. The river drops an average of 80feet/mile offering a whitewater experience second to none. Our daily Whitewater trip begins with a relaxing float with some small rapids, allowing for time to view the spectacular scenery and to get to know the rest of the crew and your guide. On hot sunny days, water fights are imminent!

Located in Golden B.C., Alpine Rafting has been rafting on the Kicking Horse River for approximately 20 years. We pride ourselves on safety and professionalism both on and off the river, as well as giving you the customer, the most value and excitement for your day.

We'll stop for a gourmet lunch at our own private lunch spot right on the banks of the river. A feast of barbequed chicken or steak, salads, veggies and dip, fruit, and deserts are a standard affair with Alpine. So eat up and get ready for an exciting afternoon of whitewater. With rapids ranging in difficulty from class II to class IV, it will be non-stop thrills for the rest of the day!

We also offer a half day trip, an introduction to whitewater trip - great for the whole family, or our Ultimate Whitewater trip - no lunch, no float, just action!

We offer several trips to suit your schedule.

On the Kicking Horse we supply: lunch, life jackets, wet suits, booties, paddle jackets, fleece and gloves.

On the Kootenay River we supply rain pants and rain jacket, life jackets, wet suits for younger children, waterproof storage bags, morning drinks and pasty, lunch on all day trip, and midmorning snack on half day trip.

Our staff is dedicated to giving you the best rafting experience possible. All guides are licensed by the B.C. Government and have extensive international experience.
