Foxwood Resort is a family-oriented housekeeping resort located on pristine Lake of Bays, which boasts 365 miles of shoreline and picturesque islands in the beautiful Muskoka area of Ontario.

Bright, clean housekeeping cottages and chalet suites provide modern, comfortable accommodation while preserving the original Muskoka charm.

All of our accommodation units are designed for self-catering and are equipped with full kitchen facilities.

Many activities centre around our shallow, sandy beach. During summer months we offer a kids program as well as water skiing and tubing.

Each evening there is an organized activity such as bingo, movies, guided hikes, campfires, sailing rides and then a Talent Show at the end of the week.

The use of our paddle boats, canoes, kayak and rowboat is included with your stay. Foxwood has two small fishing boats, a laser and a rowing shell for rent, and docking space is available if you bring your own boat. Nearby marinas offer boat rentals at reasonable charge.

With almost 100 acres of forest property, guests have easy access to woodland hiking. The Lake of Bays provides good fishing. All species of bass can be caught from our dock or from the shore.

Colonial Bay Cottage Resort offers Muskoka cottage rentals on Peninsula Lake, close to Algonquin Park, Huntsville and Lake of Bays. Perfect for a family vacation or a short getaway. Only 2.5 hours from Toronto, our Muskoka cottage resort has a variety of on site activities to compliment our traditional and deluxe self contained cottages and motel style rooms. From our cottages you will enjoy a view of Peninsula Lake.

We have a wide range of accommodation styles. Our motel style studio rooms are an excellent choice for couples for shorter stays. Each motel room can accommodate up to four and feature fireplaces, mini fridge, hair dryers, in room coffee and televisions. The cottages at our resort have 1-3 bedrooms, full kitchens, living room, and bathroom. Our deluxe cottages have gas fireplaces, single air jet tubs, air conditioning, television and DVD.

At the resort, there are many outdoor activities to be enjoyed; sand beach, canoes and kayaks, children's play area, volleyball, horseshoes, boating and fishing. campfires, marshmallow and corn roasts, water-skiing, tubing, and of course just plain relaxing by the lake. In winter, there's snowmobiling, snowshoeing, cross country skiing, hiking, snow tubing, and skating. Downhill skiing is just 5 minutes from Colonial Bay at Hidden Valley Highlands Ski Club.
