West Nipissing Resort has 12 self contained, modern, housekeeping or all inclusive plan cottages located on 4 1/2 acres of prime waterfront property. Cottages range in size from 1 bedroom (sleeps 2), 2 bedroom (sleeps 4), 3 bedroom (sleeps 6) and 4 bedroom (sleeps 8). All our cottages have a 4 piece bathroom, drinking water, electric heat, fully equipped kitchen, linens, fantastic scenery, propane BBQ, and deck.

Memquisit Lodge, centered one hour away from both Sudbury and North Bay and 4 hours north of Toronto, provides you with everything Ontario's wilderness has to offer.

Our cabin layout is unique in the sense that all cabins are well distanced from each other therefore offering unparalleled privacy. Our 12 Housekeeping and 6 American plan cabins range from 1 to 5 bedrooms and are fully equipped. Each has a deck overlooking the natural beauty of the lake, fire pit and private dock. We also have a dining room, lounge with satellite viewing, game room, convenience store and fully equipped fitness center.

West Bay of Lake Nipissing is renown for it's awesome fisheries; there is no place like it on the entire body of water. Fishing is great and will compete against any other areas on the lake. Sheltered water can be found through the entire 13 miles long bay, which reaches widths of up to two miles with hundreds of islands, weeded bays, creek inflows and rock shoals.

For the angler we have a fleet of 18' cedar strip boats fully equipped with padded swivel seats, fish finders and reliable 20hp motors. We also have guides, bait, tackle and hydrographical maps of the lake. There are a million places to fish minutes from the lodge for walleyes, pike, small mouth bass, large mouth bass, musky and yellow perch; our guest hardly go any farther than 2 to 3 miles away from the lodge. No need to do so there is plenty of fish around.

If you want a to remember waterfowl hunt then look no further, we can put you in prime shooting areas in one of our many blinds scattered throughout the bay. Our guides will provide you with years of experience. Our complete packages are extremely affordable.

If you want a family getaway then we have what you need, complimentary coordinated children activities. We also have a beautiful sandy beach, fishing from the docks, paddleboats, kayakee and canoes. Exciting attractions such as Science North are only one hour away, historical captained pontoon tours. Walk around our 387½-acre property and its 3½ miles of private shoreline, and then enjoy reiki sessions and relaxing massages.

All our cottages offer you clean accommodation, 3 or 4 piece bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, TV (Bell ExpressVu available), VCR, propane BBQ's and picnic table.


All cottages are on the lake front. The 2 BR cottages also has screened-in-porch with patio furniture for your comfort.

We are located on the South Bay of Lake Nipissing, famous for its Pickerel (Walleye), Perch, Northern Pike, Bass, Muskie and Whitefish. Spring and fall fishing are excellent.


Bring your own boat or rent one of ours. Launching and docking facilities are available as well as gas, oil and bait. Clean your catch in our screened-in fish hut with running water. Freezer storage is provided without charge.

For your icefishing getaway we offer accommodations in our cozy cottages with transportation to and from our propane heated huts on the ice. Ask about our weekend packages or midweek specials. Also for snowmobile enthusiasts, one of the largest snowmobile trails passes near our camp. You will find many fun activities and attractions locally for the whole family!

Our well-maintained 18-foot fiberglass boats and new 15 hp electric start outboard motors can take you out to your favourite fishing holes quickly.

Each well-appointed cottage is meticulously maintained, with attention paid to every detail. All of our housekeeping cottages feature a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, four piece bath, two double beds in each of the two bedrooms, satellite TV with VCR, and AM-FM radio. Each cottage has an open veranda that overlooks the lake, a picnic table, and barbeque too.

We have many exciting activities you can enjoy at Tama Kwa. In addition to the great fishing, there's hiking, mountain biking and birdwatching opportunities. (We've got a network of well marked trails around our property.)

There's also swimming, boating, pedal boating, horseshoes, and rock hounding. Even mushroom picking is a popular activity.
